QURANIC STORY
Pharaoh's Wife Chose This Prayer
Asiyah prayed a single dua while Pharaoh tortured her — and Allah placed it in the Quran forever.
📖 Surah At-Tahrim (66:11)
In the time of Prophet Musa (AS), Asiyah, the wife of the tyrannical Pharaoh, secretly embraced faith in Allah. Despite her position in the opulent palace along the Nile, she witnessed Pharaoh's cruelty and recognized the truth in Musa's message. When her belief was discovered, Pharaoh ordered her brutal torture, commanding his men to stake her to the ground under the scorching sun.
As the pain intensified, Asiyah turned her gaze to the heavens and uttered a profound dua: 'My Lord! Build for me, in nearness to You, a mansion in Paradise, and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds, and save me from the wrongdoing people.' Allah (SWT) responded immediately, granting her a vision of her heavenly home and easing her suffering as her soul ascended.
