1920 – 1969 · Mujawwad — slow, contemplative, deeply emotional
Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq Al-Minshawi (rahimahullah) is loved across the Muslim world for the depth of feeling in his recitation. Born in 1920 and reciting from age six, he became known for a slow, contemplative mujawwad style that draws the listener into deep reflection. His Quran recordings, particularly his complete mujawwad mushaf, are considered among the most spiritually moving recordings of the 20th century. His voice has a unique gravity — it pauses, breathes, and lingers on the verses in a way that few reciters have matched.
Each recitation below is set against beautiful footage of mosques around the world — Mecca, Madinah, Al-Aqsa, Blue Mosque, Sheikh Zayed and more. Click any to watch on YouTube.
