🤲 For finding a righteous spouse
Du'a of Musa AS — for any need
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.
My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.
Quran 28:24 — said by Musa AS just before Allah granted him his wife
For a righteous companion
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin, wa-jʿalnā li-l-muttaqīna imāmā.
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us a leader for the righteous.
Quran 25:74
🤰 For pregnancy + a healthy child
For a goodly offspring
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Rabbi hab lī min ladunka dhurriyyatan ṭayyibah, innaka samīʿu d-duʿāʾ.
My Lord, grant me from Yourself a goodly offspring — indeed, You hear all supplication.
Quran 3:38 — du'a of Prophet Zakariya AS, who was granted Yahya AS in his old age
For protection during pregnancy
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Ḥasbiya-Llāhu lā ilāha illā huwa, ʿalayhi tawakkalt, wa huwa rabb ul-ʿarsh il-ʿaẓīm.
Allah is sufficient for me — there is no god but He. Upon Him I rely, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.
Quran 9:129 — said 7× morning + evening, Allah suffices for all worries (Abu Dawud 5081)
🌸 For ease in childbirth
Du'a of Musa AS for ease
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
Rabbi shraḥ lī ṣadrī, wa yassir lī amrī.
My Lord, expand my chest for me, and ease my task for me.
Quran 20:25-26 — also recommended at the start of any difficult task
When you feel pain
اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
Allāhumma lā sahla illā mā jaʿaltahu sahlā, wa anta tajʿalu l-ḥazna idhā shiʾta sahlā.
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make sorrow easy if You wish.

👨👩👧 For motherhood + family
Protection for children
أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
Uʿīdhukumā bi-kalimāti-Llāh it-tāmmah, min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli ʿaynin lāmmah.
I seek protection for you both in the perfect words of Allah, from every devil and harmful creature, and from every evil eye.

For your parents
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbi rḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā.
My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.

💔 For grief, miscarriage, loss
When loss strikes
إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي، وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا
Innā li-Llāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn. Allāhumma ʾjurnī fī muṣībatī, wa akhlif lī khayran minhā.
Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction, and replace it with something better.
Sahih Muslim 918 — taught by Prophet ﷺ for any loss. Promised: Allah replaces with better.
When the pain feels too heavy
اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو، فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allāhumma raḥmataka arjū, fa-lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata ʿayn, wa aṣliḥ lī shaʾnī kullah, lā ilāha illā ant.
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy — do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye, and put right all my affairs. There is no god but You.
